Wolf Nip - Vivian Arend Title: Wolf Nip

Series: Granite Lake Wolves

Author: Vivian Arend

Genre: Paranormal

Tessa Williams is looking to make her mark outside the family business, and the unusual landlocked paddle wheeler she spots in Haines, Alaska, strikes her as the perfect location. Only the owner is being difficult, refusing to sell. Still, she’s sure that replacing her written queries with a little in-person charm is all she’ll need to shortly have her Eco-tour B&B on the road to success.

Local wolf-slash-owner of said vessel, Mark Weaver, isn’t hanging on to the landmark building out of spite. There are more reasons for holding back the sale than are easily explained on paper. A face-to-face meeting to resolve the matter only confounds it—when Mark recognizes Tessa as his mate.

But she’s a cat…and cats don’t do insta-mates.

The sexual attraction between them isn’t in question, just everything else. He wants her. She wants twue wuv. His wolf can’t figure out what the holdup is. Her cat thinks the entire situation, and the pack, are rather amusing.

Somewhere in here is the beginning of a beautiful relationship—if they don’t drive each other mad.

Warning: One hyper cat, one laid-back wolf. Inappropriate use of permanent markers, and a heaping side dish of cat/dog jokes. Shenanigans (read: nookie) in front of a roaring fire. Spiced liberally with sarcasm. Enjoy!

Vivian Arend has fast become one of my favorite paranormal authors. Her shifters are full of snark, attitude and lots of fun sexy times.

In Wolf Nip we get to see Tessa the best friend of Keri from Wolf Line get her man. Tessa has a plan and nothing and no one is going stand in her way. Not even a wolf who claims to be her mate.

Mark is one of those characters who you can't help but love. Once he realizes that Tessa is his mate he does everything in his power to convince her that they can be happy and busts his ass to show her.

Ok my heart ached for Mark in this one. It seemed like nothing he did penetrated Tessa's single-minded focus on her dream. It isn't until it's pointed out to her everything Mark has done for her that she takes a step back and realizes she might have hurt someone.

I loved loved loved this story. I'll tell you why. I have a cat at home Idryll, and a dog Finn. Now Finn loved Idryll to pieces, and Idryll at times treats Finn like he's not important to her, which we all know isn't true especially when I catch them sleeping next to each other. As I read this story I could have sworn Vivian had taken my dog and cat and turned them into people but with their animal personalities.

This is a really cute fun read and another perfect installment in her Granite Lake Wolves series.
